AI update brings easier archiving to Google Photos

A new Google Photo feature has been introduced to help make the task of managing images more straightforward. The addition uses artificial intelligence to suggest photos that users may want to archive.

The new feature is available through the Assistant tab. It works by highlighting photos that Google’s AI technology assesses as not being particularly important.

The final decision still rests with the user, who can chose to accept or reject Google’s suggestion. And the option of archiving photos manually will also remain.
