There is some great news for European HTC One owners, as the process of updating to Android 4.3 handsets is now underway on the continent. The roll-out has started in Russia, as well as some central European and Scandinavian countries.
It will take a little while for the upgrade programme to be completed across the whole of Europe, however. Last week HTC confirmed that the Android 4.3 update won’t reach HTC One handsets in the UK until mid-to-late November.
As well as the most recent version of Android, the update will also include HTC Sense 5.5, the company’s latest edition of its custom users interface. One of the most notable changes in HTC Sense 5.5 is that users will get the ability to remove BlinkFeed from the home screen.
BlinkFeed provides a custom news experience for HTC One owners. And those who find the feature useful will no doubt be cheered by the fact that HTC Sense 5.5 includes an enhanced version of the service, with more news sources on offer.
