There is some positive news for owners of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, with an update to Android 7.0 Nougat now rolling out. Although Android 7.0 Nougat was first released back in August 2016, it is only now appearing on the two Samsung devices following delays.
The South Korean company made an effort to keep Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge owners informed, as it worked to resolve some issues. Recently Samsung stated on Twitter that it was reviewing the Android 7.0 Nougat due to quality assurance issues.
As Samsung was not able to give any specific timescale as to how long the delay would last, there were some concerns that it may be some time before the Samsung Galaxy S6 series was updated.
However, it appears that the issues Samsung discovered were relatively minor, as the roll-out process began only a short while after.
