Android users in Belgium now have a new option when it comes to paying for goods, as their country becomes the tenth market to receive Android Pay. The service will be available in a number of major retailers across the country, with H&M, Carrefour, Media Markt and McDonald’s all on board.
Initially, the mobile payments service will only work with Belgian credit cards, although Google has promised to add support for debit cards too.
BNP Paribas Fortis, Fintro and Hello bank! will be supporting Android Pay from launch, although CBC/KBC customers will also be given access once debit card payments have been implemented.
