Acer Chromebook Spin 11 in tent mode with Wacom stylus

Finally – a Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro alternative in Europe

The Samsung Chromebook Plus and Samsung Chromebook Pro have generated a fair amount of excitement in 2017. But with the South Korean company not selling laptops in Europe, consumers on the continent have been left without easy access to either machine.

Now it looks like a very good alternative could be on the way to Europe. The Acer Chromebook Spin 11 has been known about for some time, and now signs have emerged that its European release may not be far off.

Acer’s official Twitter account for the United Kingdom has tweeted a video showing off the capability of the Chromebook Spin 11. While no definitive release date was mentioned in the footage, this type of marketing activity does not tend to take place a long time in before a product goes on sale.

As with the Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro, the Chromebook Spin 11 offers a 360 degree rotating hinge. The feature provides all three products with three main use modes: standard laptop, tent and tablet.

Most significantly, though, Acer’s forthcoming machine offers stylus support, matching what is arguably the most desirable inclusion from the two Samsung models.
