HTC Aero may feature stunning screen

It is still fairly early to be discussing the HTC Aero, with the handset unlikely to launch for another three months – at the very earliest. But more speculation has emerged about the device’s specs, with the latest reports concerning the HTC Aero’s screen.

The HTC Aero will offer a 1440 x 2560 quad HD display with 2.5D glass, according to a story that has emerged from HTCviet. Earlier in July, the Vietnamese website reported that the HTC Aero would feature a ‘ground-breaking’ camera, with an f/1.9 aperture lens and RAW support.

Quad HD displays are not a new concept for HTC. The Taiwanese manufacturer offers a 1440 x 2560 screen on the HTC One M9+, for instance, which is set for a European launch later in July.

The inclusion of 2.5D glass on the HTC Aero will mean that the edges of the glass on the device will be contoured, which should result in a seamless appearance. 2.5D glass is also present on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6.

In addition to the Quad HD display and contoured edges, the HTC Aero’s screen will also reportedly feature Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
