The apparent leaks of specs for two forthcoming Nexus smartphones, developed by HTC, have been followed by one of the devices appearing on a popular benchmarking service. The larger of the two smartphones – which has been code named Marlin, or M1 – has shown up on Geekbench, listed under the title ‘google marlin’.
A single-core score of 2084, and a multi-core score of 4969, was recorded by the device. These are similar results to those achieved by HTC’s 2016 flagship smartphone, the HTC 10.
A few days ago Android Wafer reported on the alleged specs of the HTC Nexus Marlin, which is rumoured to be a 5.5-inch device, with 4 GB RAM. Details about the smartphone’s chipset were not included in the leak, although the Qualcomm Snapdragon 818 is a likely contender to power the device.
