HTC are set to launch a cheaper version of their flagship HTC One smartphone in Russia. The HTC One (E8) features a polycarbonate plastic body, rather than the metal casing of its more expensive sibling, the HTC One (M8).
Despite the cheaper material, Russian pricing of the HTC One (E8) is still relatively high. It will go on sale at the end of July costing RUB 25,000 (€530/£420). By way of comparison, the metal-bodied HTC One (M8) is selling for €531,99 on Amazon Germany, at the time of writing.
But as far as the Russian market is concerned, the HTC One (E8) is still quite a bit cheaper than the HTC One (M8), which is priced at RUB 30,000 (€640/£505).
