Is has been widely expected for some time that there will be a ‘Plus’ edition of the Samsung Galaxy S8, and now a logo has appeared offering further support for the theory. The leaked image shows that the larger of Samsung’s 2017 flagships could be branded as the Samsung Galaxy S8+, providing a break from recent years.
There is a strong case behind a change in naming strategy as it is likely that both versions of the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have screens with curved edges, effectively making the Edge branding redundant.
The logo has been leaked by Evan Blass, who has generally proven to be someone with good sources within the smartphone industry.
Both Samsung Galaxy S8 variants are likely to offer particularly large screens, with reduced bezel sizes.
The standard Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumoured to have a display size of around 5.7 inches, while the Samsung Galaxy S8+ is thought to feature a screen that is around 6.3 inches.
