LG has overhauled its mobile division after the disappointing sales performance of the LG G5. The South Korean company has created a product management officer position, responsible for overseeing the development of premium smartphones.
LG Mobile CEO Cho Ju-no has appointed two product management officers. Oh Hyeong-hoon will take charge of the G range of smartphones, whilst Ha Jeong-wook will look after the V series.
The LG G5 was a highly ambition smartphone, as the company was eager that its flagship stood out from the competition.
Although tech reviewers have widely praised the LG G5 for innovation, it has also been criticised for not matching the build quality of flagship smartphones of rivals, such as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and HTC 10.
