LG chairman Koo Bon-moo has told a gathering of senior officials within the conglomerate that a refresh is needed in order to discover new areas that will deliver growth. Koo stated that the company must seek to innovate in order to meet the challenges that exist in today’s market.
The comments from Koo come as LG celebrates its 70th birthday in 2017, having been founded in 1947.
Koo may have been referring to areas such as artificial intelligence, which will play a key role in the future of mobile technology. However, it is unlikely that there will be major changes at LG’s mobile division in the immediate future, as a significant restructuring was completed last year.
