Google’s new Nexus 7 tablet has appeared on PC World’s website, available for pre-order. The 16 GB model of the device is priced at £199.99, with the 32 GB edition costing £239.99. Both products are listed as being available from 13 September.
The new version of the Nexus 7 therefore appears to be subject to quite a notable price increase, compared with the original release of the tablet.
The standard UK price of the first version of the Nexus 7 was £159.99 for the 16 GB model and £199.99 for the 32 GB edition.
In percentage terms, the increase in price is reasonably big. The larger capacity model is 20% more expensive than last year’s release, whilst the smaller capacity device is 25% more costly than it’s older brother.
By comparison, over in the US pricing has only increased by 8% for the 32 GB model and 15% for the 16 GB edition.
