Hiroshi Lockheimer has been in a somewhat mischievous mood today. The senior vice president of Android, Chromecast and Chrome OS sent out a semi-cryptic tweet about Nori – an edible seaweed that is popular in Japan; typically used as a wrap for onigiri and sushi.
Received a tip from a source familiar with the matter that Nori is not only healthy but also a very tasty treat. https://t.co/hWs6nOlAWK

Almost certainly, Lockheimer was trying to drop a hint about the name of the next version of Android, although his little pointer should probably be taken along with a healthy dose of scepticism at this time.
Android version names advance in alphabetical order. With the current version being Android 6.0 Marshmallow, barring a major surprise, the follow-up will begin with the letter ‘N’.
Previous Android version names have all had a confectionery theme, so Nori would certainly be a break with tradition.
