Initial sale of both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge have been strong in key markets around the world, beating previous expectations. Analysts Shinhan Financial have reported that the devices are selling well in China, India and Europe, which are areas of the world considered to have significant strategic importance by Samsung.
One of the most notable aspects of the information provided by Shinhan Financial is the factors that the analysts believe are behind the strong sales.
So Hyun-chul, from Shinhan Financial, told the Korea Times the Samsung’s policy of evolution rather than revolution, adding a few key features to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, has been key in attracting buyers.
“With a little design overhaul compared to the [Samsung Galaxy] S6, Samsung added several consumer-friendly hardware features such as a revival of the microSD slot,” the analyst stated.
