The renowned leaker Evan Blass has posted on Twitter what appears to be an authentic spec sheet for the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S8+. The device is set to be the larger of two Samsung flagships, which are to be announced on 29 March.
A 6.2-inch display is listed amongst the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S8+, which is around the size that has been rumoured for some time. In common with other 2017 flagships, it is likely the device will offer a large screen but with small bezels, in order to reduce the overall footprint of the handset.
One of the biggest highlights amongst the list of specs posted by Blass is the addition of iris scanning. It is a feature that was originally included on the ill-fated Samsung Galaxy Note7, and generated a lot of interest at the time.
The earphones included with the Samsung Galaxy S8+ will apparently be “tuned by AKG”. This is a move that is likely to be welcomed by potential customers, although it is not a complete surprise given Samsung’s recent $8 billion (€7.56 bn/£6.37 bn) takeover deal agreed for AKG’s parent company Harman.
