Sony’s Concept for Android programme has released a new firmware update, offering a revised audio engine. The new update, which has been made available for the Sony Xperia X, integrates the Sony Audio Effects Engine with Android’s standard MusicFX system.
As a result of the changes, Concept for Android users now hear audio that has been processed through Sony’s engine, instead of the system default.
Audio can also be customised according to taste, via Sony’s equalisers.
The firmware update also brings with it better support for network standards on some European operators.
Tre in Sweden, 3 in Denmark and Telenor in Norway all get VoLTE support, while in Germany VoWifi is offered on Telekom, O2 and Vodafone.
