Xiaomi has given its boss of operations in India Manu Kumar Jain an expanded role within the company. Jain will take on the position of Vice President, although will also retain responsibility for the Indian market.
A reorganisation of key roles at Xiaomi has been expected, following Hugo Barra’s decision to leave the company.
Although in recent years Xiaomi has not achieved the level of global growth it was expecting, the Indian market has proven to be a good news story for the company.
Xiaomi’s launch in India has proven highly successful, with rapid growth seeing the Chinese smartphone maker take over the number two position in terms of market share.
