Android Nougat released for desktop PCs

Android 7.0 Nougat may only be available on a small handful of devices right now, but already the Android-X86 open source project has released an edition that runs on desktop PCs. The quick work considerably increases the range of hardware that can potentially try out the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

Given how early the release is, it is no surprise to learn that this is not a release that anyone would be recommended to run on a machine they use daily for work. The first release is intended for developers, although no doubt plenty of eager enthusiasts will jump on board too.
