In the battle between 2016 flagships to provide a timely update to Android 7.0 Nougat, HTC is apparently making good progress. Information from a usually-reliable source is indicating that the HTC 10 could receive an operating system update within weeks.
HTC 10 owners in Europe will reportedly start to be given access to Android Nougat by the end of November, or the beginning of December.
The claims about HTC’s latest plans for Android Nougat have been made by the Twitter user LlabTooFeR – a normally-reliably source of information when it comes to all things HTC.
As is always the case with new Android firmware, unlocked devices will be the first to receive any update. European HTC 10s that are tied to a network will typically have to wait for the services provider’s own verification and testing procedures, before any public release.
