Google has sent out invitations to an event in the United Kingdom, which has been scheduled for 28 March. It is likely this will be used as a stage to launch the Google Home speaker, which is set to make its debut in the country.
Last month it was quietly confirmed that Google Home would launch in the UK, although at the time no specific details were offered.
But it is still unclear what plans are in place to sell Google Home outside of the UK and its launch market, the United States.
While it is possible that the 28 March event could be used to announce a wider global roll-out, Google Home is not the easiest of products to launch internationally.
As Google Home relies on an artificially intelligence system that connects with local services, there is a relatively large amount of work required in each new market.
