One of the key focus areas for Lenovo’s Moto smartphones will continue to be depth, although this will result in one compromise that will not please everyone. Reports indicate that the Moto Z2 Play will be even thinner than last year’s Moto Z Play, but this will come at the cost of battery capacity.
According to VentureBeat’s Evan Blass, the Moto Z2 Play will offer a depth of around only 6 mm. This will mean that it is approximately 1 mm thinner than the device it replaces.
The battery capacity reduction will see a drop from 3,510 mAh on the Moto Z Play, to around 3,000 mAh on the new device.
