The Android 7.0 N APIs have been finalised, meaning that developers now have a solid base from which to build their apps. A fourth developer preview of Android N has been made available by Google, which includes the finalised APIs.
With the new developer preview of the next version of Android comes an indication that Google is moving towards a full release. Developers will now be able to ensure that their apps are compatible with Android N, as there will not be any further amandments to the APIs.
One notable change with the fourth developer preview is the removal of support for pressure-sensitive displays. Now Android N will not include the feature, which would have offered similar capabilities to Apple’s 3D Touch.
