Polish owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have started to receive an update to the latest version of Android. The phablet is one of Samsung’s flagship devices, which will become even more attractive to potential buyers with the availability of Android 4.4 KitKat.
Although the roll-out is somewhat geographically limited at the present time, it is expected to become available to the rest of Europe over the next month, before being offered to the rest of the world.
The fact that the upgrade is restricted to Poland is not unusual. Manufacturers normally limit updates to selected regions, in case of any unforeseen problems.
In November last year, Samsung halted the roll-out for Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on the Samsung Galaxy III following a high number of complaints. There was then a delay of around a month before the update process was fully resumed.
