Samsung’s 2017 flagship smartphone has been recording highly-impressive sales figures in the company’s home market of South Korea. The 5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S8 is selling at a rate two-times quicker than either the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Samsung Galaxy S7 ever recorded.
With the 5.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S8 selling so well, the conglomerate’s share price has reached a new high. Today shares in the company have traded at a record price of 2.41 million won (approximately €1,900/$2,125/£1670), driven upwards by the impressive sales figures.
In just 37 days, the smaller Samsung Galaxy S8 recorded particularly impressive numbers, with one million handsets being sold during the period
Together the Samsung Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch Samsung Galaxy S8+ are currently selling in the range of 11,000-12,000 units per day.
