Snapchat has added new features to its app, including a key change that affects a fundamental aspect of the service. The notion that snaps are only available for a limited amount of time is well established, but that is now about to change.
A new option has been included in Snapchat’s timer, with the addition of an infinity setting. It allows a recipient to view a snap, without a clock counting down to the post’s deletion.
Although the new feature alters one of Snapchat’s most important features, the change is more of a tweak than a transformation. Snaps will still be deleted when they are closed, not stored long-term as they are with a service like Instagram.
When sending videos, it is also now possible to set the footage to loop. When this option is selected, a video will loop continuously until it is closed.
