When it unveiled a new range of phones recently, one area Nokia was not very specific about was the release date, quoting only the second quarter of 2017 as guidance. But now evidence has emerged that the new devices are likely to go on sale from May in some markets.

Xiaomi has given its boss of operations in India Manu Kumar Jain an expanded role within the company. Jain will take on the position of Vice President, although will also retain responsibility for the Indian market.
Initial sale of both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge have been strong in key markets around the world, beating previous expectations. Analysts Shinhan Financial have reported that the devices are selling well in China, India and Europe, which are areas of the world considered to have significant strategic importance by Samsung.
